Diane served as Treasurer for ASID California Peninsula chapter (2000-2002) & Treasurer for the Student Career Forum 2005. She taught interior design business courses at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising College in San Francisco(2000-2002) and Interior Design for the University of California at Santa Cruz (2006) while carrying a full client load. Provided award-winning interior design Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto’s only cemetery. It’s a privately owned, 72-acre site established in 1904. The park replaced the original single-story Spanish Colonial Revival building with a new two-story facility echoing historical architecture and Mediterranean gardens. The new building includes a chapel that can seat 150 people.

Chief challenges of the project were to honor the crossroads of cultures, religions and values the park represents; celebrate the architectural style of the Spanish Colonial Revival exterior yet feel contemporary; and deliver authenticity within budget. The park’s management also hoped to facilitate a cohesive flow for memorial services and make it possible to expand business opportunities while accommodating ordinary office functions.... See More
